Originally mothballed after Disney/LF didn't want to bring the character back from the dead. Ironic considering they've shown no regard for bringing back characters in the past.

Kylo was about the only good thing out of the final trilogy, but this is still stupid.

A successful model would be letting Soderbergh and other similar directors make standalone films until they find someone who can be trusted to do a trilogy.
Instead they completely bungled the sequel trilogy to the point no one even wants another one.

Its Star Wars. It should not be hard to make a good movie or series.
The should do a mobster type movie/series with all of the underworld characters in SW. The Hutts, Maul, etc.

Wasted? They make over a billion annually on merchandise alone. As of this time two years ago they'd already made 3x what they paid for Lucasfilm.

The worst part is that the plans and ideas already existed within all the EU books. All that Disney had to do was adapt stories that were already written and format adaptations for the big screen or TV series.

They have one coming out in April about Maul and his crime syndicates set after the Clone Wars. Animated show though. Wish they'd make a live action Maul show and get Ray Park to reprise the role and have Sam Witwer do the voiceover, like they did for the Solo movie.
