Remember this Save Act process the next time Republicans ask you for money.

Let me see if I have this straight, every Republican supports the Save Act which is being blocked by Democrats, and your solution is to help Democrats win elections?

Respectfully, the factual premise of your post is incorrect. Not every Republican supports it. Similar to the way not every Republican has given two cents about the voter fraud. And similar to the way certain current Republican senators voted to impeach the President.

I think they rely on certain “principled” conservatives they aren’t seeking reelection to bail them
Out and save face.
They will shake their fist at Tillis on Fox News but buy him a beer at the local tiddie bar.

All but 4 Republicans voted for the SAVE Act.
Practically every Democrat voted against the SAVE Act.
And you’re mad at…
Republicans?

They control both houses of Congress and the Executive branch. Where is the enacted legislation?

So we replace a few Republicans with Democrats. Are we closer, or further away, from a Save Act?
Wouldn't it be smarter to elect more Republicans, get to a number that gets us over the line even with a few defections?

It's in the Senate and would require 60 votes to pass.
So, again, your solution is less Republicans and moar Democrats?

"Close" in this context is worth zero. Were the Georgia Secretary of State and Governor Republicans during the federal 2020 election? Was Cassidy a Republican when he voted to impeach President Trump? Was Murkowski a Republican when she said, No to the Save Act? And with all this talk about "voting" for or against the Save Act, Republican senators have not even brought it to the floor for a vote, right?

What’s your solution?
To stop voting Republican?
That seems like it would place your implied goal of an enacted SAVE Act further out of reach.
That’s what is referred to as cutting your nose off to spite your face.

This makes no sense.
Listen, it's quite simple - you're suggesting something that hands control of congress to Democrats because there aren't enough Republicans currently to overcome a few defectors. Your "plan" is nothing but waving the white flag.
Instead, why don't we elect more and better Republicans?

I'm mad too. But we need less Democrats and RINOs.
So maybe don't donate to RINOs.

Start in KY, then down to LA, and hopefully one day Alaska. Primary elections are happening right now, vote out the RINOs.

I would donate to Fetterman before I'd give Cassidy a dime.

It makes perfect sense. Saying we got "close" to enacting the Save Act but did not enact it is the same thing as failing to enact it without getting close.
The Constitutional Republic cannot survive without, among other things, integrity in its elections. For six years we've heard testimony and evidence about illegal votes in 2020 in places like Fulton and Maricopa Counties. But at the end of the day, the professional political class --- including Republicans -- chose to try to ignore it. I could tell you first-had stories of reaching out to Republican politicians with concerns and receiving no response or, worse yet, feeble responses. It took "outsiders" like President Trump's administration and cabinet (including former Dem Tulsi Gabbard) to try to bring the bad behavior into the light. And still now, with Republicans controlling both houses and the Executive branch, long-time Republicans are standing against trying to bring integrity to the elections.
How ironic that the theme of some in this thread is to encourage others to "keep voting Republican" when the entire point is that voting will not do much good when the election system is so vulnerable to corruption and yet even the party that's supposed to be on our side won't take measures to change that.

Is that more or less ironic than others in this thread fantasizing that somehow, against logic and intuition, more Democrats in congress is the better path.
It's hard to follow how, as a conservative, a pro-Dem path is best in any way.

Me: "You have control. Please make elections safe while you have control."
Them: "No. Vote for us in unsafe elections and maybe we'll do it later."

There have been multiple threads / posts discussing how the filibuster and the 60 votes for cloture are dealt with. As of now, Republicans are not even attempting to fight for this legislation. Instead they are parading their dogs around the capitol and laughing at Republican voters.
Trump needs to go to war with Senate Republicans but he doesn't have the sack for that. He should go on Truth and post video of the dog parade and begin withdrawing endorsements and send Bondi out to announce investigations into insider trading. He has leverage. This is one area where the left-leaning bias in DOJ is an advantage - send them out there to target Republican senators for insider trading.
He can tell AIPAC right now that if they don't leverage Republicans today, he begins withdrawing all military equipment from the Iran theater. If the SAVE Act doesn't get through by first week in March, it all comes home. AIPAC will be on the phone to every Dem and every Rep in the Senate to push the Act through. If they threaten him with obstruction or impeachment/removal, he goes public. Not a single incumbent Republican would be safe in November. He can even go behind closed doors and tell them all he's going to leak a story that they plan to mutiny and have him impeached and removed. The furor over that from the public would be catastrophic for incumbent Republicans. This only takes a small amount of creativity and a large set of balls.
Keeping foreigners out of our elections is a hill to die on and Trump needs to start acting like it.
And no, that doesn't mean Democrats win seats. You don't have to vote Democrat in order to vote for someone other than an incumbent Republican. There are plenty of candidates out there. They can get 1%, but if the incumbent gets 0%, that incumbent is gone. Virtually none of the Republican incumbents are without a primary challenger. Those that don't have one can get one very quickly if Trump pulls endorsements and goes to war.

That's not what's happening here. It's more like -
You: "We have control. Please make elections safe and if you come up short this time, let's give up and forfeit control of congress to Dems."
Them: "We have control. Please make elections safe and if you come up short this time, try to fix this in Republican primaries. But when the generals come around, we have to do everything possible to beat every single Democrat."
