Today I noticed some large brown rings in my lawn about 6 to 8 foot in diameter. Green center but the actual brown ring is about 8 to 10 inches wide. Photo below. What am I dealing with and how do I fix it? I have about five or six of them in the same general area.

Photos always help but sounds like “large patch” fungal disease (formerly called brown patch). Large Patch - LSU AgCenter

Treat with fungicide, azoxystrobin (Scott’s Disease EX) or propiconazole (different trade names, spray or granular) are two of the better ones, follow fungicide label directions. Retail garden centers and even the big box stores will carry them.

On a phone it's a huge pain. You actually have to pull the picture up in a browser and not the app.

Once there you can copy the image address and then paste

on a computer just pull up the pic and (on apple) use 2 fingers to click the image and copy image address then paste

Highlight the address and click IMG

Looks like someone skeeted some roundup in the shape of hearts. You wouldn’t happen to have a daughter in high school by chance, would you?

Did it ever have mushrooms growing along the circular part?

No. Just these 5-6 circles. Just noticed them today. Could they be fairy rings? That’s what perplexity said it could be.

We have many of these on the school baseball field. It seems to be a fungus in the ground. They put rye down over the winter and it did not take in the rings.
