SIAP

Currently free on Prime.

Y'all should check it out. Really good rockumentary on a group that should also be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Paul employed some very talented musicians.

We enjoyed it, but I was let down that they ignored his time in New Orleans recording the Venus and Mars album.

And I’ll never understand why Lynda McCartney had to take so much shite from fans.

Yea, they never really delved too deep into Venus and Mars. They played a little of "Listen To What The Man Said", and that was really the extent of it, wasnt it?

They showed Linda in a Magneto t-shirt. Nothing other than that.

Laurence Juber was in the final lineup of the band. He has since carved out a career as a solo acoustic steel-string player, playing originals and solo arrangements of famous songs. I saw him in concert a while back. He is immensely talented.

Linda was his wife obviously and that must have been awesome to have her with him, but not a talented musician. Denny Laine had plenty of talent but not especially remarkable. Juber and McCollough definitely. Drummers were non descript. Wings was about McCartney and he’s obviously already in the HoF for his solo career. I don’t think there’s a case to induct Wings as a band since Paul is already in…that kinda covers that 1970s era for him and those songs

Yes, I met him several times. He's one of the best acoustic players ever.

LOL

you’d have never heard of Joe English had he not answered McCartneys ad for a drummer. He was fine, non descript. That’s not a criticism

You’d have never heard of Richard Starkey if he had not replaced Pete Best.

Very good drummer.

His band got a bad knock strictly because of Linda. Everyone else was top notch.

I think that if Linda was alive, McCartney would push for Wings to be in the HoF (as he did with Ringo as a solo act). Denny Lane is already in as a founder of The Moody Blues.

Linda died a short while after Paul was inducted in the first class of the HoF as a Beatle in 88’, then he was inducted as a solo artist in ‘99.

He was at the New Orleans Beatles Fest last year.

Confirmed for me that Allen Klein was a grifter, a thief, and Lennon’s henchman.

He really was a low life. He ripped off the Stones then the Beatles.

At least all the Stones hated Klein. They abandoned England, moved to France, and fought him for years.

Meanwhile, John Lennon buddied up to Klein, and further drive a wedge between him, the Beatles, and McCartney.

Lennon broke away from Klein in 72 and then him, Starr and Harrison formalized the firing in 73.

Can’t wait to watch this and forgot it was coming out this weekend. I may watch it tomorrow night.

So sad that Paul was the only one who really saw how shitty AK was. And I get that he was also biased because he wanted Linda’s father instead. But still, it seems like at least one other of the guys should’ve seen through AK’s bullshite.

They told him, do not take weed to Japan. They will put you away for a long time.

What does he do? Big fat sack of weed in the suitcase.
