When it comes to politics, IYO, is invoking Jesus, fasting and prayer good policy for GOP?

I ask for your opinions because I'm sort of on the fence about this. I simply want to win votes for conservative candidates in a multi-cultural society. I want to get a feel for direction from the board. I know the board is generally conservative and more or less had upbringing in the Christian faith.
I receive monthly emailed newsletters from the local, county, state and national GOP.
Recently, when keeping the majority in the US House and Senate is precarious, the messaging from the Denton County GOP, instead of focusing on "get out the vote" efforts, or "meet the candidates", or to discuss initiatives, or the upcoming hugely important elections in Texas, they have taken a turn towards religious messaging, including calls to come to Jesus through prayer and fasting, imploring others to 'fast' every first monthly Monday throughout 2026.
Now, I'm not debating the point that people need Jesus in their lives and hearts. The nation needs a moral renaissance. That's a given, not even a debate here.
My concern is whether or not the GOP, by trying to act from a spiritual leadership position, instead of from a political leadership position, might be damaging the conservatives' chances of retaining a majority in Congress by turning off voters who may have come from a different religious upbringing but who I very much want to be voting for my conservative candidates. My opinion is that the GOP organization should be promoting the values of conservatism, INCLUDING a broad faith aspect to that messaging, and promote organizing meetings on how to get out the vote and promote good candidates.
I live a somewhat insular life so maybe my opinion is out of juxtaposition with modern politics. That's why, before I contact the county GOP and ask them to drop their new religious tone and focus on the political issues that are affecting Denton County, I am asking for your feedback. Is my concern unfounded? Do these types of religious messages coming from the GOP do more good than harm? I mean, prayer is good, and a day of fasting never killed nobody, so I can't and won't argue against that. But is invoking it as your sole message when you need to be focusing on how to win this fall a good way to win? Here's the latest message:

We are calling for a day of fasting and prayer on Monday, March 2nd, and every first Monday of the month until the end of 2026, and we invite you to join us. We will meet at 5:30 PM on Monday, March 2 for a time of prayer at the Denton County Republican Party Office, located at 2921 Country Club Rd., Denton, TX 76219.
Our cities, our county, our state, and our nation are in great need of God’s presence and direction. Now more than ever, we must humble ourselves, seek His face, and turn our hearts fully back to Jesus. We are believing for spiritual awakening, renewed faith, restored families, and true revival in our land.
On this day, we encourage you to set aside intentional time to pray. Fast in a way that is meaningful and appropriate for you, whether that is a full fast, a partial fast, or giving up something significant as you focus on seeking the Lord.
Let us come together in unity, asking God to move powerfully in our homes, our churches, our communities, and throughout our nation.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face… then I will hear from heaven…” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
We look forward to standing in faith together.

Good? I don't know.
Fair? Most definitely
Like it or not it's a primary reason this country was founded

I don't know, either. I'm not Hindu or or Islamic or whatever it is that Asians pray to, so I can't feel inside how they might feel. I just want to get their vote. We don't want only the Christian vote, we want it all.

At the national level, repentance would be an excellent addition to prayer and fasting.

If I don’t declare Jesus Christ as the answer for what ails America and the world, what good am I, and what purpose do I serve if I don’t point the world to the actual answer? Not religion, but Jesus Himself.
As a member of God’s family through Jesus, what am I here for if not to declare the love, grace, mercy, and truths of God found in Jesus? It’s great to win, but if you have nothing to offer in change, what’s the point in winning?

That message is fine for the Christian demographic but won’t appeal to the Secular community.
I think that the better message would be that ‘if you don’t get off your asses and vote’ to hold and increase Republican majorities in the Congress then the Dems will win, impeach Trump and reinstate their open Border and DEI policies, end the Filibuster , stack the Supreme Court and again purge the Military of patriots. Just for starters. This goes for religious and secular Republicans, Libertarians and supposed Muh *Moderates* (roll eyes).
And at some point, patriotic Americans will abandon (rigged) Voting, Courts and MSM disingenuous political dialogue and go back to the Founding ‘mechanism’ of “the barrel of a gun.
People get the government they deserve. Live and learn.

I think so
Here’s why; the GOO (and conservatives in general) have spent decades “tiptoeing around” on cultural issues and have by and large pushed to appease, or at least, to not “rock the boat”
Trump has been the 1st to actually come out swinging and standing up for conservative ideals and policies, and it has proven to be a winning strategy
I’m inclined to think the same is true on this front

Short response -- I support honest politicians who LIVE the values they espouse.
long answer -- I'm reminded of the following in todays world:
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” -- Luke 9:23-27
Jesus warns about being ashamed of Him.
Today this applies when:
o faith is unpopular
o values are challenged
o it’s easier to stay silent
I'm reminded of a Dentist who told me Friday, of a family members wife, a freaking therapist, advisor. The Dentist told me she is absolutely the wrong type of individual in that field. "Don't do it if you don't want to" is the therapist's go to line. His complaint stemmed also from lack of discipleship.
Jesus calls us to live openly and faithfully.
Why This Is Relevant Today
1. It challenges self-centered living
Modern culture often says:
o “Follow your heart”
o “Do what makes you happy”
o “Put yourself first”
Jesus says:
Deny yourself and follow Me
This reorients life from self-first ? God-first.

The impact of Christianity on the West is unavoidable, but I have no problem saying that our immigration policy can't be based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, and so on.

My problem isn't the optics. I could care less about that. My problem is the hypocrisy of it for 99% of them.

This.
If they want to repent, great, no problem.
If they just want to cos-play as Christians, nah.
