Hey grok is cooper flagg out for season?
No, Cooper Flagg is not out for the season. As of March 1, 2026 (with the latest updates around the Dallas Mavericks’ game against the OKC Thunder), he’s sidelined with a left midfoot sprain he suffered on February 10 against the Phoenix Suns.
He’s missed seven consecutive games (including the one on March 1), and the Mavericks have ruled him out repeatedly while listing him as day-to-day. Coach Jason Kidd has indicated he’s unlikely to return imminently—probably not for their March 3 game against the Charlotte Hornets either—meaning he’s likely to miss at least a couple more contests.
There’s no official timeline for his return, and the team is being cautious (he’s no longer in a walking boot and has done some workouts), but reports mention speculation about shutting him down for tanking/draft purposes or long-term health. However, nothing confirms he’s done for the year—it’s described as a lingering sprain with progress but no firm comeback date yet.

Mavs going to win lottery again as compensation for Nico’s bad Luka bad trade

They’ll probablly roll him out the minimum number of games (62?) to win ROY, unless they think Kon Knueppel has wrapped it up…. Then they’ll shut Cooper down.

If Grok answers every question, there would be no need for discussion on this board

This is your new NBA. They are tanking so they aren't going to play him & if he does it won't be much. Meanwhile all the people who pre-bought season tickets & single game tickets get to watch the D team every night.

We are trying to tank. I hope he’s out to rest for next year.
We need a top 5 pick

The OP asked a simple question with no other discussion

Flagg is averaging more Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, and Blocks per game than Kon. Kon has a higher FG%, and FT % just slightly over Flagg. Kon’s 3 point % is much higher and the biggest difference. Hornets are winning a lot more games, but the Mavericks roster is complete arse, and the Hornets have some good pieces. I still think Flagg deserves ROY if he hits the threshold, but Kon has definitely closed the gap lately.

I can understand the hesitation to give Luka’s lazy arse a max deal, but what they got in return was an absolute joke.

Why? How about yal start getting value for all the assets you guys had to start the season? I’m a Flagg fan and I want his team to do well but you guys’ front office is dogshit.

The same Luka that led the Mavs by himself to a WCF, with a complete garbage roster? The same Luka that led the Mavs to a Finals with a fairly mediocre roster? The same Luka who is leading the league in points, while averaging 8 boards and 9 assists per night? There is zero excuse or reason the Mavs shouldn’t have given him the max deal. If Luka is truly that lazy, then he’s one of the best players ever.

JJ Reddick and Luca aren’t getting along. One of them won’t be with the Lakers for much longer.
