I feel the same way about Pearson as I do Reaves. I am not sure what Coach sees. But he sees them a lot more and I guess sees something I do not. I cringe when I see either of them in the line up.

agree- its a real head scratcher. The fat Pearson really pooped his pants on 1b tonight. So much for getting the start over other quality defenders.
NO way in hell should Pearson or Reaves be on the field defensively for LSU...just no way.

LSU made four errors tonight. Pearson made one. Who are the other 3 that shouldn't play defense anymore?

If you watched the game he made 2 maybe one wasn't called but he ran in front of Dardar to field a ball he had no shot at getting an out on. He also booted a bouncer that could have been an out at home instead it got no outs and left the bases loaded. The first one was on the first at bat of the inning...I say this while also admitting basically none of the starters played well and that game isn't on one single player

He will not be playing 1b at Vandy next weekend. Everyone needs to calm down.

Not and error and no guarantee Dardar would have gotten it. If it was listed as an error it would go to pitcher, not the 1st baseman.

Definitely an error. It happens to the best of them. Not saying Pearson is the best fielder but this definitely is not a reason for him to never play the field again. And he will play the field again.

It’s not a hate on the guy. But he had two errors that inning no matter what the scoreboard says. That first one that wasn’t counted as an error there’s no reason he should have attempted to field that ball. Jay even said he had a rough night in the press conference. Not breaking any news that anyone with knowledge about baseball should understand.

You’re reaching here. It’s absolutely a mistake on the first baseman. No one else lol. It could and should have been an out.

I have no problems with anything you said except this. 100% was not an error. That's why it wasn't listed as such. He did have a rough night, as did about 15 other TIgers. What I do take exception with is saying this is why he should never play the field again. That's ridiculous. If that was the litmus, we might as well cancel the whole season now.

It was not listed as an error because it wasn’t in the baseball terms of an error. But it was an obvious “mistake” aka an error in judgement. Which led to the same result that an actual error would have. We are saying the same thing just stuck on the definition of an error lol. I do agree it should not have been ruled an error because it was not in baseball speak. But it directly led to a guy on base so same thing in my book. I never said he should never see the field. All I said was the experiment of him at first will probably end. May very well be wrong who knows.

Same play just happened just now on the LA Tech versus Arkansas State game. Pitcher covered the bag. 1 baseman caught the ball threw it to the pitcher covering the bag and got that out.
