A suspect in the first-degree murder of 87-year-old Robert Fuller Jr. is being held without bail. Fuller, a resident at Cogir Potomac Senior Living facility, was murdered on Valentine’s Day of this year.
Marquise Emillo James is accused of fatally shooting Fuller in the head while he was in bed in his apartment.
James, 22, of Baltimore, was a medical technician at Cogir Potomac Senior Living facility for about four months before he allegedly killed Fuller.

I'll refrain from what I want to say... watch your loved ones, folks, old and young. There's absolute monsters out there.

Was he, though?
He doesn’t have a license active with the state. He doesn’t even have an expired one.

To carry or not to carry isn’t even an option anymore.

I'm glad it got to read this comment before I replied to this thread. I was about to say something off-color myself. No pun intended.

Apparently Maryland will let anyone act as a medical technician if they take a short course on administering meds.
This story is one of 1,000 reasons why you shouldn’t allow that.

Hard R right there, and I don't mean pirate-speak.

The large and increasingly vulnerable population of older whites will be victimized by people like this at an accelerating pace. Take a look at who staffs a huge percentage of lower level health care jobs now, especially in senior living/nursing home/assisted living facilities. Don't put your parents in one of these places if you can avoid it. Don't put your spouse or yourself in one. Buy long term care insurance and try to stay in your home.

Not to say there aren’t other takeaways from the story.

Sure. But this person very well might not have passed the background check required to work in senior healthcare.
Would be interesting to see what the facility ran.

"I'll refrain from what I want to say"
Stereotype, like your wife and kids lives are depending on it.
