How can a sitting US Congressman, sitting in an official Congressional hearing on welfare/snap/medicare abuse totally ignore the subject of the hearing and lace their asinine attacks with words like "murder" and "innocent victims" and "captured children" in their bullshite allegations - instead of even tipping a hat to the SUBJECT of the hearing.

I thought their 'speech and debate' permission to lie and slander and prognosticate was limited to their 'speeches' to the empty chambers of the congress = or in their purchased political advertisements.

Should we not insist that a FORMAL HEARING concentrate on the subject at hand and adhere to at least honorable restraints, if not prohibitions from slander, from the participants?

But at the least - should we not expect the MEDIA to point out mercilessly the outright LIEs and SLANDERs by any and ALL congress critters, not just mealy mouthed constant attacks on conservatives.

I just don't know how any democrat these days can live with themselves if they support the absolute lying filth that totally consumes their 'leaders' commentary in the past two decades.

Just makes no sense to me.

edit:
ALSO - if the subject of the hearing is so abhorrent to the democrats that they even REFUSE to attend - should we not be able to assign their seats to anyone in congress who IS willing to sit thru the hearing???

Is there ANY topic or strategy by the Democrats that can be defended as HONEST or PRODUCTIVE or HONORABLE??

anything at ALL???

I now understand why my flippant use of the word murder triggered people.

Thank you, and I'm sorry. We definitely killed some bad guys. We didn't murder them.

Don’t take it personally- the uncorrrupted - those of us with souls-never understand the corrupt. It’s biblical- the source of our disillusionment with man.

Hope you are well, old friend.

Ahh...the duality of man.

Actually-it appears to be the overriding theme of the day-discussing the nature of my corrupted soul with the kind lady next to me who is having the same thoughts as I look for worship times at a non-denominational church she favors. Suffering/loss/age makes us grapple with uncomfortable truths about ourselves and our fellow man, no?

Asking congressmen, who are mostly sociopaths and narcissists, to actually do their jobs and not postulate, bloviate and parade around like peacocks, is asking a bit too much.

Debate Clause

If they wish to debate a topic not on the official agenda then they ought to devote equal amounts from their time for a response from the other side.

They use these hearings as free propaganda for unrelated issues.

But since democrats have no honor - no conscience - no logic - no capacity for true debate, they do as they always do = redefine the terms (debate is not the same as lies and fairy tales) - and lie/insult/exaggerate/aggrandize at the tax payer expense.

I don't believe in god, but I'm convinced over half of Dems in congress and their voters are truly evil people. Freaking Demons.

While I agree, I would call it spiritual. Biblical is the morally aligned subset of spiritual. Sacred Tradition is also a morally aligned subset of spiritual. Whereas demonic is a immorally aligned subset of spiritual.

Everyone believes in some higher power that is at least your arbiter of how you know the difference between “right” and “ wrong”.

God bless. :)
