Does it have to do with the trolly that was talked about over the years? There is one every half mile or so from LSU to downtown and they are in a different location from the bus stops.

I drive that every day multiple times.
No idea what you mean.
ETA: Just noticed them this morning. No idea. Has to be some kind of bus stop thing.

Seems more involved than a bus stop ramp.

Part of the "rapid transit" plan put in place under fricktard Broome to help bring the shiftless trash in NBR that don't own vehicles to Downtown and LSU.
This was her preference over an almost 100% federally funded light rail line between downtown and LSU.

Yeah, bus stop pads or whatever.
Problem is that area needs to be built up better with proper housing. I think the goal is to build the other shite and pray investing for housing comes.
Didn't they close the sewage plant there and move it up/down river?

Truncated domes mandated by ADA laws at mass transit platforms. Blue matches the color of handicap parking signs to indicate a wheelchair accessible loading area. I have to take CEU classes on this every year.

You guys think Broome did this to put it to whitey? Or she's just stupid?

Looks like mass transit for LSU students coming from North Baton Rouge.
They have all the President and state streets covered.
Looks like they're cleaning up Chippewa

The Plank-Nicholson Bus Rapid Transit line will run in a mixed-traffic lane with fewer stops and more frequent service at enhanced stations. The Capital Area Transit System (CATS) will operate electric buses with custom branding and Wi-Fi available onboard.
The BRT stations provide level boarding platforms, ADA access ramps, and seating. They will feature real-time schedule information displays, improved lighting and better access and connectivity for pedestrians and bicyclists.
A future North Transfer Center, adjacent to the urgent care clinic on Airline Highway, will provide access to other transit routes, park-and-ride facilities, and premium amenities in waiting areas.
The Plank-Nicholson Bus Rapid Transit Project is funded by a mix of federal, state and local sources. To achieve greater efficiency in program management and position North Baton Rouge better for other federal grant pursuits, Mayor Broome previously merged two MOVEBR projects on the bus route with the bus rapid transit project. The Plank-Nicholson Bus Rapid Transit Project budget is $15M (including portions of Florida Blvd. Seg 1 & Plank Rd. Seg 1 MOVEBR projects). The overall project budget is $53.7M with $38.7M being funded through partnership with LADOTD, CATS, and US DOT BUILD Grant.

Let's see how it works out. If done properly, it's nice to see our city improving. But they have to be done properly, which is no guarantee.

Looking at the route, it's nowhere near done properly.
