quote:

Ben Barousse and Anna Katherine Harrell were announced as the winners of the 2026-2027 LSU Student Government election Thursday.

The ticket’s policies include reforming the AI Task Force, better mental health support for students and improving accessibility on campus for students. They have reached out to Disability Services on campus and hope to work with them during their term.

Barousse and Harrell will officially begin their term following the spring semester.

The election results were originally scheduled for March 25, but they were postponed due to pending SG lawsuits that have now been resolved.

Outgoing president Lavar Henderson and vice president Abry Layrisson

She already looks like a 38-year old who just got her real estate license.

This is so racist.

The fact that they replaced a great black man with a white guy is injustice. Also, why wasn’t a black woman picked?

Get gravy on the phone. It’s time to protest. We need answers

Why is that a surprise? The Greeks are typically the only ones who vote in large numbers.. Nobody else pays attention. The Greek backed candidates nearly always win. That's how it's been at least since the eighties, and probably way before that.

I would bet any amount of money the preceding duo were backed by the Greeks, one of them being black notwithstanding.

SGA has almost no practical impact on the average student. It's a haven for tools and people who take themselves way too seriously. 20 years from now you'll see these same people doing toolish things as lobbyists and lawyers.

Why do they have university courts and lawsuits? It seems like a complaint resolution process for student govt elections that they are making more complicated. Maybe teach them to settle disputes without practicing for future lawsuits.
quote:

After elections closed on March 20, multiple campaigns were facing lawsuits for allegedly violating the Election Code.

Since then, both lawsuits brought against Benjamin Barousse and Anna Katherine Harrell of the Home ticket by Tyhlar Holliway and Gabreyela Gonzalez of the Heart ticket have been settled via an alternative dispute resolution.

This is who filed lawsuit or complaint or whatever it is

Who the frick do you think they're going to learn that from?

Certainly not the elected officials on the local, state and national level.
