His Senate majority leader has defied him on the Filibuster, SAVE Act and playing hard ball on the new AG vote

Thune saying there's not enough votes, not even close, to geting rid of the Filibuster.

Because he still thinks he can run the nation like one of his companies.

This is a propaganda post designed to demoralize conservatives.

If you believe voters are so fluid to vote conservative one year and Dem/Marxist 2 years later…. You’re a fcking moron.

Agree with you on Thune.

Have to disagree on the possibility of senate. Republicans are bleeding young and Independent voters.

[link=(CNN’s Harry Enten Says Democrats’ Own Voters Cannot Stand Them)]https://www.aol.com/articles/cnn-harry-enten-says-democrats-174533561.html[/link]

CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten said Thursday that congressional Democrats are under water with their own voter base.

Over 70% of American voters and 55% of Democrats believe their party’s leaders do not have the right priorities, according to a CNN/SSRS poll cited by Enten. The party’s approval ratings stand at a historic low in comparison to past midterm elections years.

“You might say, OK, well, at least Dems like Democrats. Not the case,” Enten said. “Look at this. The majority of Democrats are independents who lean Democrats. Look at this. Fifty five percent say no. Congressional Democrats do not have the right priorities. And then you just see a minority. Forty five percent of Democrats say that congressional Democrats have the right party. This to me just jumps out at the screen because it screams primary challenges all over the map. And it says that even if Democrats don’t like Donald Trump, they don’t like their own party either when it comes to Congress.”

You can slow down the eventual crash with republicans or you can expedite it with democrats. Both options have their pros and cons.

To have an intelligent discussion of this, you have to analyze each seat up for grabs. For example, what are the odds that Susan Collins keeps her seat? What are the odds Husted hangs on to his seat against Sherrod Brown in Ohio? Ohio and Maine are as different as night and day, and generic national polls aren't necessarily relevant.

We have had weak congressional leadership. Congressional Republicans have not exactly come up with a legislative agenda aside from the required budgets and maybe the SAVE Act. You wouldn't mistake these guys for Newt, Armey, and Gramm.

Trump has been his usual undisciplined self. Noem and Lendumbski took his best issue and turned it into a disaster. He made the smart move and sacked them but I fear that was done too late.

Main problem is the economy has not greatly improved as it did in his first term. If you remember, the economy was blowing and going in Jan 2020. The Dem experts were saying they couldn't beat him with such an economy. We know what happened next.

This time, the economy hasn't taken off the same way after it sucked for four years under Biden. Yes, inflation is still at 2+%, much better than 11 but the prices are still high. Interest rates are what they are because of inflation. Gas prices were pretty low before the Iran War but obviously that has changed.

The tax cuts will boot up the economy but they take time. The tariffs effect was more immediate while they hurt some.

So yeah, no strong agenda in Congress by Republicans, immigration made into a mess by Noem, a somewhat sluggish economy or one that has not taken off, and a war raising prices means problems in November.

Say hello to the 51st and 52nd states, a packed court, open borders and amnesty for illegals. Congressional Republicans suck arse because they're achingly soft, but give Dems control + the WH and we won't dig out from mess they make for 50 years.
