No. No he can’t. Every team he’s ever played on other than at LSU he played with Trey Hawsey, Tech’s first baseman. He played a single game this year for LSU at 1b and it wasn’t good.

Caraway seems athletic enough, but I've never seen him there. Same goes for Simpson. 1B can be tricky for guys that have never played there. No excuse for Yorke, he's played there a long time.
Serna, Dardar, Braun and Pearson won't be better than Yorke. Yamin has looked okay there but not sure he's an upgrade at the plate either.
I'm in the minority that would just stick with Yorke. They just need to keep working with him, maybe as much mentally as physically. His ceiling is highest.
