The gamer bullshite is ridiculous. They don't even wait for you to call your play because they run the same defense.

Online sports gameplay has been ruined for over 10 years. It used to be my favorite genre. Now it’s just for online trolls and basement dwellers. No thanks.

It's any online game for the last several years.

This new generation of gamers are some of the sweatiest, most try hard players in existence. No one plays for fun anymore and the developers of these games refuse to fix match making.

If you're a casual gamer in the multiplayer arena, you're basically screwed half the time. Any suggestions to remedy this are met with "git gud" or "sKiLl gAp".

Excuse me for not being able to play a game 18 hours a day 7 days a week.

That’s why I just stick to play now on NCAA and single player campaigns on shooter/fighting games. I have no interest in wasting my time trying to play online with a bunch of cheating arse holes that plays 24/7.

I quit playing madden probably 10 years ago because of how angry online play would make me and jm a pretty chill dude. Qb scrambles, zone read cheese, endless audibling into unstoppable drag routes. It’s the same shite every year, the goofballs find a hand full of plays that work every year and just cheese the frick out of them

A sizable chunk of them are kids thinking they can make a career in ESports and/or become famous streamers. Kind of like the gaming version of travel ball

Good players know how to stop any level of cheese and should have some of their own go to plays. You’re probably hoping just a play/formation change will stop things. It won’t.

The right mix of unpredictable play calling, lurk skills, and coaching adjustments can stop anyone.

Most bad players aren’t touching RPO keys, safety depth, corner depth, etc., You have to actually adjust or you’ll get picked apart by anyone that knows what they’re doing.

Last sports game I’ve ever played was NCAA Football 12

I instantly knew from the get go that the new college football video games were going to be trash when the hype trailers were revealed. The over-the-top presentation and rap music just made everything unwatchable

I have played video games my whole life. I have played sports for the first 20 years of life. Even competitive modified softball as I got older.

And I can't stand playing sports video games.

Fix matchmaking so the bad players play other bad players and the sweats can play against one another, not everyone wants to implement multiple audibles in their playbook, shift blocking and find the hot route within 5 seconds before snapping the ball. Sometimes people just want to pick the game up and play a couple matches running a vanilla offense and defense.

If you play road to the playoffs everyone has to use their teams default playbook

So you want the thing (SBMM) most people hate? That’s your problem. Get good and stop being a half arse. Don’t cry when you’re too lazy to coach as the coach.

What a save!

Welcome to Rocket League! The reason I went pure single player years ago. Absolutely loved playing it at launch with 50 hours playtime but it became the most toxic shithole of rage quitters ever. I play games to enjoy them.

I got back into sports games last year after not playing much since like 2018. Such a huge difference. There were shitheads back then but it's completely different now

Have they fixed their dynasty mode? Back into the day I would recruit and set up the team and simulate 90% of the games. There was no single game simulation and when I did the in game simulation it was broken af. Is that fixed at all?

Pretty much.

It's like these games want to punish you for having a job, having a wife, having kids, having other hobbies, enjoying the outdoors... like how DARE you not spend all your waking hours playing the game.

For all their flaws, at least games like Marvel Rivals and Overwatch stick you with players with similar skill levels; that said, about the least toxic group are the lowest-tier players. The higher you go, the more it's everyone else's fault that the match was lost.
