Should Yorke start another game this season?

He is more of a liability than a benefit in my opinion.

Maybe a midweek game. Just to see if he’s learned anything. But not until probably Northwestern State.

As long as he is representing LSU I will pull for him but I feel like some time on the bench did Arrambide some good so maybe it’s what Yorke needs.
I also won’t be mad if someone steps up and takes his spot. It can only make us better in the long run and we will probably need Yorke at some point in the season.

I’d rather figure out a way to get Bide/Serna/Yamin/Braun the playing time.

I don't think he's one of top 9 position players right now. There are a few options for how 1B can be handled:
Yamin at 1B
Serna at 1B, Bide C, Yamin can rotate at C and Bide DH (my recommendation)
Braun at 1B
Dardar at 1B (played there some at KSU) and Carraway at 2B
You could try Brown at 1B and Braun in RF
Pearson at 1B and Carraway at 3rd (Pearson is the better 3B)
You could give Simpson another look and let him try 1B (played a lot there at High Point)
Yamin at 1B
Serna at 1B, Bide C, Yamin can rotate at C and Bide DH (my recommendation)

He should work with the trainers, dietitians, medical staff, and physical therapist on weight loss.

Agree, if the kid dropped about 40 lbs. would likely be much better.

Is not an SEC caliber hitter. 1st base play is below average as well. On top of this he is done after this year which means you are better off developing a younger player for the future. Every pop up he hits is an opportunity not given to a freshman.

He's not ready to play sec baseball. He needs to prove himself before he gets in to another sec game

He's had over half the season to prove he isn't the guy we hoped for. The midweek games should be to develop the young guys and get the new first baseman reps. With all that said, I won't be surprised to see Yorke as the starter on Tuesday and Friday, unfortunately.
