What are your ties to LSU? Any legacy stories?

I've been living in Texas for many years and that's the case for a lot of people from Louisiana. How did you arrive at LSU? Any family legacy? My dad went to LSU as did my older brother and now several other younger cousins.
Occasionally I'll be wearing an LSU shirt and run into someone else from LSU and we share our stories. I think most of us arrived here in tigerdroppings to talk about LSU sports but we all have our own stories about our connection to the University itself. Some might be fans that never attended or went to other state universities but there is something that brought us all here. Without giving up any personal information I'd like to hear some stories.
ETA - also feel free to add any educational experiences you've had there that were cool.
I had this EE professor from Austria that was apparently somewhat consequential in research about non sinusoidal systems and harmonics in power distribution systems.
Always thought it was cool that LSU was invited in the LIGO facility
One of the other EE professors apparently resolved the twin paradox
I haven't kept up with all of the things LSU has done since then but I think it's cool to think about

Degree from there. Lots of family who were staff there in various capacities. Have my great grandfather's class ring. Class of i believe 38 if I remember correctly. Either 4 or 5 generations of graduates
Theyll have to get their shite together if they expect my kids to go there.

Family has had same seats in tiger stadium since the mid/late 50s. Was at games in tiger stadium in the womb.
Notable games attended, to name a few…earthquake game, Fla 97(my freshman year), Uga ‘03, Fla ‘07, bama ‘12(heartbreaker), all sec games in 2019, JD5 game against Fla.
2 degrees from LSU.

My older brother went to LSU from ‘69 to ‘72. Took me to LSU games for $2.50 Upper South End Zone youngster tickets.
Got to see Bert Jones beat Ole Miss with one second left.
Got to see Tigers stomp Archie Manning. Got to see my idol Tommy Casanova return punts for TDs.
That was peak Tiger Stadium
I knew where I was going to school.
Graduated in Marketing in ‘84

My dad went to LSU in the late 70s. Family packed up and moved to Georgia in 1998 when I was a kid. I told myself I’d be back and I’m the only one who did. Class of 2010, BA in History

Class of ‘95 here.
My brother was here for 2 years before me. I lived at home and went to LSUS for a year so I could save up to buy a car to get to BR. Got to BR and moved in with him.
No previous family members attended LSU before us.

First in my family, class of 99, Zoology.
I was thinking of transferring until I went to my first game.
When I go there, I get a trippy nostalgia wave.

Submarine watching at the lakes,
Loved to get my young friends looking for those submarines when I was a kid.
Certainly those cars were parked there for some good reason.
