Who cares how shitty they speak as long as they arent white.
Wonder the gender of the person who put that pile of feces together.
quote:
A top British university has told its lecturers to ignore their students' poor grammar in order to "embrace linguistic diversity".
King's College, London, a member of the Russell Group, has also said it plans to scale back traditional exams in an effort to be more "inclusive".
Who cares how shitty they speak as long as they arent white.
quote:
One of the slides had the heading of "equality, diversity and inclusion" and said the university's new framework will "focus on ideas, not grammar".
Another recommended that tests should be "culturally responsive" and "reward the use of culture, language and identity".
Wonder the gender of the person who put that pile of feces together.
quote:They are doomed.
"These young people are looking at the tough labour market and they haven't got time for all this."
quote:Yea 40% Pakistani/Indian and a smattering of black...
King's - where 41 per cent of undergraduates are black and minority ethnic students - has said it is committed to "inclusion" in it its official "access plan".

French are dicks about their language.
It used to annoy me, but these days I'm thinking they're on to something.

You can replace the word British with US and every sentence would still be true

If you are one of these people who use “literally” to mean “not literally” than you have no business criticizing anyone for the murder of the English language.
If you are not, please accept my apology.

Does tongue in cheek count?
There is a difference though about cultural speech, and the very universities that uphold the standards giving up their roles.
That is how you get vulgar Latin, and how languages split. People stop teaching commonality.

American elites have always been Anglophiles and the English elites have always been Francophiles.
The French only love themselves which as you pointed out is not a bad thing.
They are proud of themselves and have no issue pointing it out anytime you run into them.
When we regular American folk do this it's considered such a terrible thing by elites and the libs who want to be them.
I've never understood this inferior complex by elites.

There seems to be a distance from Greece factor working.
The Romans felt inferior in language to Greek
The Franks/French to Latin
The Normans/English to French
The Americans to English

Literally not what they’re talking about in the article.
