Nil era, I’m not sure lsu can thrive anymore

Football - spent a ton of $ to have mediocre results last year, doubled down thus year with a new staff
Basketball - spent more with terrible results from McMahon, doubling down with Wade and more $ spent on upcoming class
Women’s basketball - spent $ last year on both portal and high school class, out in sweet 16
Gymnastics no idea $ spent
Softball no idea money spent but bounced by lions last year
Baseball Jay wants more $ but still spent a ton to possibly miss ncaa tourney while the coach is undermining his bosses, missed badly on some portal guys and it’s not LSU’s fault mlb decimated your class

I'd argue that LSU is set up to thrive better than most of the programs in the entire country.
LSU is elite, LSU knows they are elite, and do not give a frick what anyone thinks. They will get who they want.

Most people agree that the issues with football and basketball was coaching and LSU just spent an absolute fortune to fix both of those problems.
WBB was was a last second shot away from the elite 8 and has been consistently ranked in the top 5 the past few years. Only USCe and UConn can really say they've had a better run since the start of the NIL era.
There's been 4 College World Series since NIL era began and LSU has won 2 of them. Every program in the country would gladly trade places with those results.

Why can’t baseball and Basketball be like football when the players are not eligible to go to be drafted until there Jr year. That way they can hold on to there recruits for 3 seasons.
