LAFAYETTE, La. — Multiple fights broke out at SkyZone’s Lafayette location Saturday night, prompting police intervention and renewed debate among parents about supervision at the popular trampoline park.
Offered without commentary.

Go to an indoor trampoline park if you want to see legitimate unsocialized behavior. It’s the closest thing to unleashing feral children upon a civilized society as we have today.
The sad thing is that I genuinely think most are just trying to have fun. They simply don’t know how to behave.
Maybe just as sad is that the employees and all of the other parents and adults don’t dare say anything to them. That’s a reflection on the failings of our modern culture.

Good job of saying what you want to say without really saying what you want to say.

Trampoline parks are an absolute no go. Fatherless kids make it miserable for civilized society.

My child outgrew them but last time we went there was a bully kid that kept terrorizing the smaller kids towards the back. I had to stand there and watch him to make sure no one got punched or choked by him. Not a parent or worker in sight.

I don’t know which trampoline parks the OT usually goes to, but every time I’ve taken my kids to the ones in the GNO area, it’s been a blast. And most of the time, plenty of dads are there jumping with their kids and playing dodgeball.

Eventually there will be barriers that keep certain people out of public events.
These already exist, but they will be more common and egregious. Normal citizens will be willing to pay larger entry fees or pay memberships just to enjoy basic activities.
We are not too far away from private parks, which I'm sure already exist in some locales.

There are only two barriers to the darkness; cost, moving away. These two options are the only ones that can be used today. Unfortunately they both make the cost of living more expensive for everyone else.

I’ve never been to one of these parks. But I’ve thought about taking my 5 and 3yo. Maybe I need to scout it out a little more before doing that

In my experience in the Jefferson Pairsh area, show up shortly after they open (some days the workers open late) and your young kids will have the time of their lives and for the first 30-45 minutes you will feel comfortable letting them explore at their own pace.
As it gets closer to lunch, the crowd tends to start getting older and you start seeing the drop-off crowds. That's usually when it's time to move them to the toddler area or suddenly run out of time.

I've been a couple of times with my little nephew and it was great!
I even bought some socks and got it on some of the stuff.

The skyzone in Lafayette has been full of culture for quite a while now. I am not surprised at all that what happened happened. They changed a bunch of rules regarding unattended minors to stop the single moms from dropping off yn's off and leaving them unsupervised.
I am waiting for the same thing to happen at Urban Air, because that place has also been full of culture since it opened earlier this year.
We have a elevation station in Broussard though that isn't full of the culture, and I can proudly say it's full of hot soccer moms every saturday and sunday mornings for birthday parties. It's quite the site.
