They will be worse than Mainieri's first season. It defies explanation.

This season makes no sense considering we didn't have a whole lot to replace... 3 position players and a DH. I though the combination of Evans, Schmitt, Moore, and Williams could keep our pitching at a similar level despite losing Anderson and Eyenson.

Our offense has to be the worst in the SEC by far.

So by your logic, we only needed 4 players? How about all the transfers that left? 9 players transferred out, plus losing 9 players from 2025 team to the draft, plus 8 signees to the draft. Thats 18 players from last yrs team, and 8 potential players for this yrs team not in BR...you expect them to be competitive after losing that many players? JJ will retool the roster and we'll be back where we belong!

I’m not sure what you’re smoking. Outside of the outfield and SS plus some good bullpen pitchers we had to replace the entire team pretty much.

Now, did I think we had enough combo of freshman, transfers and returning players to field a pretty good team? Well yeah.

It’s clear we signed some pretty good freshman, if we hit on 2 of the transfers, we are probably hosting a regional maybe even a super regional. Problem is we missed on all of them.

So 4 out of 9 starters. Replacing 44 percent of our lineup is “not much”??

As a fan it’s ok to be upset about this team but some of you have zero knowledge about the game.

11-19 in conference now sounds pretty optimistic

It’s crazy to think we’re even having this discussion. Before the season some were saying our backups could go .500.

I know the ERA was decent at some point but there have got to be so many unearned runs because of botched throws to first and misses by the catcher. it's maddening.

we lead the SEC with 50 errors. Don't know what the ERA is now but unearned runs are keeping it lower than it should be.

we didn't come anywhere near effectively replacing Anderson and Eyanson.

Curious where we rank on walks, hit batters, passed balls and wild pitches.

We actually replaced 4 positions and DH.

All 4 are downgrades defensively and 3 of them are offensive downgrades with one being a wash.

I think it’s a situation where losing is contagion. Every loss compounds the situation. It’s psychological.

This team clearly lacks confidence.

We had to replace two of the best pitchers in college baseball, 3 top-notch infielders, 2 of whom were good or better with the bat, and a very good catcher. That’s a shite-load of talent and experience to replace.

You had to replace the best pitcher in college and a top 20 pitcher in college. You had to replace Ethan Frey, Jared Jones, Daniel Dickinson. Chase Shores went in 2nd round. Be like an MLB team losing 3 starting pitchers, and 4 players in their lineup after winning world series. It’s hard to replicate every year in college. Sucks that we are this bad but we lost a lot of talent despite what some want to claim

It might have been nice if Jay could have conviced Mikey to stay.
