I am grateful to Pope Leo for saying this. While the media narrative constantly gins up conflict–and yes, real disagreements have happened and will happen–the reality is often much more complicated.
Pope Leo preaches the gospel, as he should, and that will inevitably mean he offers his opinions on the moral issues of the day. The President–and the entire administration–work to apply those moral principles in a messy world.
He will be in our prayers, and I hope that we'll be in his.
Do we like this?
Or do we prefer calling the pope a total fricking loser?

Maybe we can get JD Vance the video or, in the very least, a still pic of Robert Prevost marching and protesting with the Communists in Italy when we set up the installation of BGM-109G Ground Launched Cruise Missiles by the Reagan administration at the U.S. base in Comiso, Sicily in 1983.
That's who that frigger is!!!

I know JD has his loyalty to the tech bros but he’s so level headed and articulate. I hope to God he’s the next president. We could use a change of pace on the messaging with the same core principles

He didn't say anything incorrect.

Let me rephrase that

Vance should and will be the man in '28.
I supoort Trump and believe he's exactly what America needed at this point in time, but Vance is a "hugely" better speaker and debater. He's polished and in control.
I also do not believe all the media propaganda about Trump supporters fracturing nor that Republicans will not remain in control after midterms.
I honestly believe after midterms, we'll see Trump's plans become intense. It will break the Marxist Dems and cull out some of the RINO's. IMHO

I see nothing wrong with the Pope talking about the love of Christ in the midst of the tragedy of war. But when he starts white knighting for freakin Muslims, I'm out.

I knew what you meant.
He's Francis 2.0.
Last pope worth a damn was JP2, but as he got old and infirmed, bad actors in the College of Cardinals and Church leadership started doing nefarious shite in his name (and Benedict wasn't around long enough to unfrick things).

JD is a smooooooth talking machine.
Love it. Him plus Rubio (VP) is the ticket.
MAGA for four more terms....
Then we can have Tulsi as Rubio's VP.

The Catholic church has been white knighting for Muslims since at least 1964, if not earlier.
From Lumen Gentium - published in 1964:
Chapter II, paragraph 16:
quote:
But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator. In the first place amongst these there are the Muslims, who, professing to hold the faith of Abraham, along with us adore the one and merciful God, who on the last day will judge mankind.

I mean no one should disagree with this statement. It's 100% the mature, correct take.
This huge change in stance from the "Pope should study theology" take JD had last week just further entrenches my skepticism of his true intentions.
