TP Columnist Chris Rose?

I just went over to nola.com to get his take on the Saints road to the Super Bowl, and he has not published anything since 11.2009.
Does anyone know where this guy is at? One of the bloggers said the TP laid him off... I just can't see laying off your best Living Section writer?
Any info?

He interviewed me in '95 for an etch-a-sketch exhibit, and he misquoted me.
As a teen, I remember reading a Woody Allen quote saying "If you think something's fun...then it's fun." I never forgot it cuz it's so simple but yet so true. In other words, if you enjoy it, that's all that counts. No regrets.
When Chris was interviewing me, that quote just popped out.
Chris wrote: "If you think something's fun, then it is."
It may be more grammatically correct, but that's not what I said, Chris.

Did you really just complain that Chris Rose misquoted you when reporting on an etch-a-sketch exhibit?

Meh, overrated.

his October 2008 arrest on a minor charge of municipal domestic violence.
It didn't seem so "minor" at the time. Apparently he stalked his ex, and got into a fight with her current S.O. I'd bet money that this had a lot do with his "buyout".

I chatted with him outside the Springsteen concert in Nashville in November. He was having so much fun with his kids. Didn't know he left the TP. I just mentioned 10 minutes ago to the wife "where are the Chris Rose columNs about the Saints?"

Was wondering what ever happened to Rose. Thanks for sharing the link.

Well, the depression thing was def. true. He did a few articles about it in the paper. I don't know that this had anything to do with him leaving the paper.
I found it strange how his articles would not show up for weeks at a time.
I liked his style alot.

After Katrina he must have spoken to 4 different civic group. I was involved with to market his book 1 dead in the attic. His wife was always with him to help him sell the books. They seemed very happy together, always joking ect. I was very suprised when they broke up.

I think I read somewhere that he's been working on/performing a show called "The a-hole Monologues."

I ran into Lolis Elie at the Krewe de Vieux, he told me that the TP underwent some serious shakeups last year and offered Lolis a reporter job or sverance. he took severance. he said the same thing happed to Chris Rose.
Basically it was just a cost-cutting restructuring, not any kind of scandal.
