With all the great games on it who wouldn't??? UT-Iowa State, UT-Baylor, UT-TT, UT-Kansas State. That conference makes me want to

This is a way to look at it.
There are over 24,000,000 people in Texas. Let's say 1/4 have the option to and do pay $1 per month for the Texas network--thinking that they'll pay $1 per month ($12 per year) and they'll be able to watch UT beat up Iowa State if nothing else is on.
I know the math is off, but
6,000,000 X $1 X 12 months = $72,000,000 per year. Now, go ahead and assume that 1/4 of the population doesn't care enough to spend that dollar. If only 1/10 of the population or even 1/25 of the population tunes in, $28,800,000 on the high side and $11,520,000 on the low side. These figures are PER YEAR remember.
This is before advertising revenue. Sounds like a financially lucrative venture no matter how you slice it.

Also a great recruiting tool.
When we were in Indiana 18 months ago or so doing family history research I actually watched a bit of the Big10 Network. They had a 30 minute block where they profiled different athletes in smaller sports (wrestling, lacrosse, etc.) from the different schools.

Texas @ Rice is on ESPN
UCLA @ Texas will probably be on tv I'm sure
Other OOC games
Wyoming @ Texas
Florida Atlantic @ Texas
Also probably all of their basketball and baseball games that won't normally be on tv

UT could just re-air "Man of the House" during the off-peak hours.

They would probably also get (exclusive????) rights to rebroadcast games - much like CSS does for SEC football during the season - as well as rebroadcast "classic" games featuring Texas, both bowl games and regular season.
