We're witnessing something special with Jarrett Lee

Not to get all sappy, but when you think about what JL went through and what he's doing today, it's pretty impressive. No, he is not the Second Coming, and may still yet throw some pick sixes this season. But if you can remember being in college your freshman year, and all the major life changes and growing up that happens then, and think of adding to that the stress of having tens of thousands of people blame you for a busted football season, you can begin to appreciate what he's gone through. Jacques Doucet of wafb.com said it best:
"Lee teaches us all a very important lesson. Never quit. No matter the odds, no matter if you're loved or hated … never quit."

He's the reason why we're STILL undefeated.

I concur Live 2 & Dad. Jarret Lee represents all that is good about student athletes and young men in general.

Agreed. Gotta love the kid for his commitment and not giving up when some fans wanted him to transfer and said he'd never be an SEC caliber QB.

Many of them are eating crow now
JL proves them wrong.

How do you think Lee"s college career would have turned out if Saban was his coach.
Lee is a great example of Miles passion for his players. Miles could have thrown him under the bus, but choose to take the critizism himself to make sure Lee's college career was a success.
I am just beginning to understand Coach Miles.

If we can commit to him starting next year, and keep a few pieces on D, we could be something special.
Trips to Knoxville, Morgantown and Tuscaloosa will be tough, though, not to mention the Ducks in Dallas.

You could easily say the same for JJ.

It was not very long ago that many in the Tiger Nation thought Lee would transfer and most were fine with it. I would have been proud of him no matter what just because he hung in. I have said it before " most of us would probably be at MCneece or NSU if we were Lee" And I will say J.J. showed a little fight back of his on Sat.

Well he was a Sophomore technically, he was redshirted his first year.

Lee would lead this team to a SEC championship if Miles would give him the reigns.
Yes, he'd prolly make some mistakes but our defense and running game are good enough to keep us in any game.
Lee is our missing link on the offense because of the energy and leadership he brings to the huddle.

He has made the LSU offense exciting again.

Technically, he was a junior in high school, having not played his first two years.

Why did you even bring up Saban in this conversation? Have you ever played for Nick Saban? Do you anything about the man? Nick is a demanding coach and his players respect him. He has players like Jarrett Lee. A walk-on DB was playing in the Bama game for Nick the other day. Both Miles and Saban have done a good job influencing the lives of young men. Don't come here with that Saban is too mean bullshite. Miles was no Lee fan and still is not. Miles got his arse saved by Lee and I am sure he only played JLee cause he was desperate. Miles ain't doing Lee any favors. Lee is succeeding despite getting the most limited of chances. The credit here is Lee's not Miles for sure.

I don't hate Miles, but if not for media and other outside pressure I don't think he would have given Lee another chance.

I have hope for JJ... He still plays tentatively (typically a sign of a young QB that hasn't quite grasped the system yet). I think it might be better for him to get out from under the pressure for a bit. Another reason for JL to start.
