I didnt really like the trade when it happened, but now I dont like it even more. The only thing that would make me feel a little bit better is if we get a good player in a transaction later in the year and Anderson coming in a doing a little work.

We won't know if it's a good trade until after the trade deadline IMO

Stop trying to judge a trade two weeks after it happened. Let everything play out and then see how it's going to work out. Everyone wanted to personally drive Bayless out of the first two weeks he is here and now everyone is acting like we just traded Chris Paul. For Christ's sake...

These boys need to have a little patience and let the new guy work into the offense and defense.

Exactly, he came in at the worst time during that road trip and he never really gelled with the bench. we need to give him time seriously. and we need the TS to not try and stir up stuff with this kinda thread

Bayless would have never put those numbers up for us, he didnt get enough minutes.

he barely played enough to even make much of an impact.

they could have outright cut him and it wouldnt have affected this team much

Way too early to tell, and Jack should be a fairly tradeable asset if he doesn't work out. Demps is going to keep trying until he gets it right from what we've seen.

People hated the Jerryd Bayless trade because they thought he was worthless, now we trade him and everyone wants him back and thinks Jarrett Jack is worthless. I love this board.

Absolutely because Jack is better than Bayless and a better fit for this offense right now.

No doubt about it.

I agree with this. But i'm also not sure Jack adds anything special. Combo of Green and MT5 seem just as good backing up CP. So then the question becomes, did we really need to give up Peja to aquire Jack?

Dude, it's two weeks into the trade. Let the poor frick learn the offense and get used to the people he's playing with. And if it was no difference between him and a combo of Green and Thornton, do you think Demps would have made the trade? I love how everyone on here is smarter than Monty and Demps.

Even if Jarrett Jack does not score another point the rest of the year, the trade was worth it. in addition to the financial relief it gives the team, he is the legitimate best friend of chris paul--if these reports are true, then i LOVE it. Anything to keep CP3 in NOLA..

Because we miss Bayless and Peja so much? Bayless wasn't playing well and even though Peja helped in a few games, the only reason he was playing is because he was being shopped.

Demps isn't done yet.

Not sayin Bayless and Peja were go to guys just wasnt a upgrade for 15 mil expiring contract that would have been gold come trading deadline

Like what? Is there something you know that Demps doesn't? Do you realize how many teams have expiring contracts like the one we had in Peja? Do you also know that in the trade we got back two expiring contracts and a trade exception?

I'm not so sure. Demps reportedly shopped Peja hard for 2 months, I think he has a much better idea of his value than us armchair GMs. Do you really think he chose a backup PG over the difference maker we were hoping to get with Peja's contract? Iggy is still quite attainable and we have a $9.7 million trade exception now that can be useful as well.
