Terrible and terribly overpriced.

I ordered a cup of etoufee, a regular shrimp poboy and a rootbeer. 27 dollars.

Since they've moved into the new facility/upgraded, it has gone to hell. It was always a little pricey but they have gone full ruhtard and the food is going down hill.

Not like some places where the cup just means a smaller bowl
The shrimp poboy was 13.75 by itself. It wasn't very good either. It had some sort of dry slaw. No other dressing.

I've been once... had the famous poboy with the roast beef debris... totally agree with this thread, over hyped, over priced, not very good. Silly tourists.

Here's what I don't understand. With a little investigation someone would know there are limited items worth ordering at Mother's. Primarily, it's breakfast and their sandwiches. The Ferdi is a damned good sandwich. I have no idea what it costs and I couldn't care less. It is what it is. The couple of things they do weel are worth avoiding the tourists and eating.

That sounds like a ripoff if they charge you $27 for a Barqs, po boy, and etouffee. Mother's is known for being a tourist trap though. At most other places your bill would've been around $15 for all of that.
