LOL at PSU. Dantonio would be a fricking retard to walk into that.

PSU needs to hire a nobody.

Hard to accept a job that won't be there when the dusk clears

He's a Gamecock alum, maybe we can get him after Spurrier retires.

Would be a killer hire but I don't see him going anywhere near that.

They need a complete outsider that's not a big name but carries a solid resume. From a different part of the country altogether. Someone like Larry Fedora.

I don't think his heart can handle the situation up there.

You really think there will be a football program for PSU next season?

Why leave Michigan State for that job?

If Sparty's going to rise again, it will be soon because Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, and so forth are in various levels of trouble.

The only two "established" football programs in the conference which are relatively untouched right now are Wiscy and Nebraska.

If there is, that is.

I agree. I think this thing is going to get even bigger. Who knows what the fallout will be.

I'd hope Fedora is smarter than that.

The last Southern Miss coach who left to take over a troubled program was Bobby Collins. His career ended when SMU got the death penalty for violations he wasn't even aware of.

I don't know if the PSU job is that much of an upgrade anymore. He'd be stupid to leave. He's done well at MSU.

is there really anything to this, or is this just message board delusions???

is there really a chance that PSU doesn't play football next year? I have a hard time believing that, regardless of how bad it gets.

I'm guessing Robinson has been getting blown up on twitter. He's fired off about 5 tweets in the last 5 minutes saying that he just thought Dantonio would look good to them, etc. Little bit of backtracking.

Losing program =/= troubled program

LSU was a troubled program at the end of Mac's tenure and when Bo Rein died. They were just a losing program when Archer got canned.
