Fico pitched and did an amazing job holding them to 1 run but our offense was so bad today, just couldn't put multiple hits together until late in the game.
The ULL pitcher is sick. She could bring them to the CWS

yeah, giving up a single unearned run in the first inning and getting shut out by a quality pitcher like that qualifies as getting spanked. it was just on eof those games my friend, its just a shame it came in an elimination scenario

It would be nice to know how many of those games were lost because we couldn't give her any run support and she eventually tired out.
She struggled late in the season but she is a true Tiger and I'm sorry to see her go.

Me too. Sucks but we got two other bad arse pitchers, Ashley Czechner and Meghan Patterson. They aren't as good as Fico but they are both pretty solid. Both are going to be Seniors next season.

Every game was hard fought, but kudos to the Cajuns for going undefeated and unscored upon.
I'm glad they proved me wrong--I didn't think we had quite the horses to get to the Super Regionals this year.
What a herculean effort by Jordan Wallace--three consecutive complete-game shutouts on consecutive days.
All the games were great and yes, like most high-level NCAA softball games, both games vs. LSU could have turned on one pitch or one play.

I was impressed by Czechner; less so by Patterson, but I really haven't seen her pitch much. We've got another great pitcher coming in, but we've got to fix our hitting problems.
