According to MADD, Louisiana is on the path to eliminating drunk driving. The state is reaping the benefits of passing an all-offender ignition interlock law in 2007. As a result of enforcement efforts and its mandatory interlock law, drunk driving deaths have decreased by 36 percent.
Last year in Louisiana, the number of drunk driving fatalities (.08 BAC or higher) was 234 representing 33.3% of all total traffic deaths. This is a 0.4% decrease from the previous year.
what is this 1 or 2 people less?

people were arrested over the weekend and charged with 3rd Offense DWI.
Around 12:45AM Sunday, an officer with the Baton Rouge Police Department stopped Nicole Dietrich, 32 of Prairieville, after allegedly running a red light at N. Donmoor and Florida. The officer noted that Dietrich had a strong odor of alcohol, red-bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and swaying balance. A blood alcohol test showed that Dietrich had a BAC of .187%, over twice the legal limit of .08% in Louisiana. Dietrich, having been previously arrested for DWI in June of 2010 and May of 2014, was charged with 3rd Offense DWI and Driving Under Suspension. She was transported to the EBR Parish Prison.

Later Sunday morning, around 2:45AM, Baton Rouge Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle crash in the 2100 block of College Drive. In that accident, Quinn McDonald, 24 of Baton Rouge was travelling southbound on College Drive when he crossed the center line and hit a northbound vehicle head on. The driver of that vehicle was sent to a local hospital for their injuries. Investigators noted in the report that Quinn did not have his driver’s license on him. Quinn was also found to have 2 previous DWI arrests in October of 2013 and September of 2014. Quinn refused to submit a breath test offered to him by officers. He was charged with 3rd Offense DWI and transported to EBR Parish Prison.

How is someone with 2 previous DWIs even allowed to be on the streets?
This is not uncommon. We hear stories all the time about people getting their 5th or 6th DWI.

Posting personal information on here gets people banned, plus he doesn't need anymore one sided publicity.

Typical Baton Rouge douche that does cocaine and hangs out in north face gear.

It sounds like you should help out your friend instead of talking about him anonymously on the Internet

Ah, but think of all the revenue the cops are collecting from those devices.
I say again, DWI laws have very little to do with public safety and have everything to do with revenue collection. If they were really serious about it, there wouldn't be 50,000 ways to get "lesser charges but still pay the fines". There sure as hell wouldn't be a way for someone to get multiple offenses.

Yes. But if he lost his job, maybe that will be a wake up call of him.

Walt is just a guy who could use a little help. These duis are starting to stack up. This sucks for him because he'll probably have to do extra community service this go round. It doesn't help to have his personal info plastered on the OT.
