Channeling his inner-Pulisic with the left footed strike to tie it up.

Landon and Pulisic scored on the same weekend. This must be what it feels like to watch your dad play catch with your son.

SKC crowd apparently was chanting "AARP" every time LD had the ball, hence the "both hands to his ears" celebration

I hope he sticks around for WC 2018 and I hope Jurgy isn't a fricktard this time.

If Miroslav Klose can do it for Germany...

Before Klinsmann and Donovan's early retirement I though about the prospect of Donovan playing in a World Cup at 36. It didn't seem that far fetched that it could be done.

To score a goal in only his second appearance (I think he has somewhere around 40 minutes?) is impressive. That goal was no garbage goal either; it was a left footed side strike from distance with touch into the corner of the net.

LD would be a perfect mentor for Pulisic in WC qualifiers. Even if Landon doesn't earn a call up, he would still be great to have around the team, as you have to think he would be if that relationship hadn't been ruined.

Meh, there's plenty of players that can mentor him... LD should only get a call up if he can actually can contribute on the field. Fact of the matter is, he's too slow to really make a difference as an international attacker.

I say this as 95% a joke and 5% seriously, his defense and pace is good enough to be as good as or better than any left back in our pool not named Fabian Johnson.

I'm genuinely curious if he makes that shift to the backline if he signs a new deal with LA, but I still think he hangs it up for good after these 2 months.

Not if he's the facilitator behind the striker. The winger to second striker move is pretty common for former wide players. He was the only American who could consistently think 2 moves ahead, and I always thought he should have played behind the striker rather than the right sided role he played for the majority of BB's and JK's reign.

Agreed and, ironically, that's where Jurgen saw him once he came back from Cambodia and was ultimately LD's downfall with the USMNT. That's where he was played when he wrecked shite in the Gold Cup, but Jurgen didn't see him as a better option at that spot than Deuce (which was dumb).

I know, right? It's almost like people lose hair as they age.
