They're worried, by and large, about their safety and their wallet. If you can appeal to that, you'll win. Trump did just that.

Agreed. I cannot worry about social issues if I am worried about my family.

I told my wife I voted for trump for two reasons.

He killed the msm
He killed social conservatism

People want lower taxes, a healthy economy, and good schools for their children. We're not at the dinner table fretting over LBGT rights or illegals being granted citizenship.

Well said. If things are humming along nicely you can worry about the ticky tack stuff like that, but people across this country have much bigger concerns on their mind. I'm genuinely surprised just how many there are, but I couldn't be happier.

The social agenda was impossible to win from the very beginning. The GOP had to be dragged away from such bullshite. Trump ran a campaign on legitimate issues, and even though the press tried to paint him as a racist sexist ist, he crushed her on issues.

I think you undervalue the amount of hatred Evangelicals have for the Clintons.

Oh no, I get it, but it wasn't enough to win. The tipping point was the economy and safety. If he didn't appeal to people so well, Evangelicals would have lost another election.

I'm glad that the Republicans should now feel free to take the whole gay marriage opposition out back and give it the ol' yeller treatment.

They never have. That's why McCain and Romney lost.
