Increased levels of prenatal fluoride exposure may be associated with lower cognitive function in children, a new study says.

About 75% of Americans are exposed to fluoride through public water, the main route of exposure aside from toothpaste and mouth rinses. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has called water fluoridation one of the 10 greatest public health achievements of the past century. Since fluoride was introduced into community water over 70 years ago, the CDC says, there has been a 25% reduction in cavities in children and adults.

Realllllllly suspect to draw conclusions like this from that sample. Potential confounds are everywhere. Sensationalism from CNN.... shocking, I know.

Some things to consider about fluoride:
- It is a proven neurotoxin on the level of mercury.
- Calcium fluoride is an essential health nutrient but that is NOT what you get in toothpaste or water supplementation.
- All the studies showing fluoride to improve dental health have become highly criticized over the years and do not cut it as far as the scientific method is concerned.
- There are no conclusive studies showing fluoride in water aids in dental health.

Hell my mom used to give us fluoride pills when we were kids. It's why I have such strong teeth now.

Why do people think the government gives a shite about your teeth?

Of course. Even here, it was never about the federal funds Mitch, Sr. received for fluoridating the city's water supply.

There are no studies that ingesting silver benefits your health, but that doesn't stop you from guzzling down Alex's.

Alex Jones was Right!
Not taking the time to research any Jones' assertion, but I seriously doubt "may be associated with" was his claim.
