Is this worth digging into a little bit more? Is there really anything there? Is Moore actually trying to get a recount, or is he merely asking the election officials to investigate fraud?

Or is this Moore being a stubborn a-hole and his supporters taking that one comment ("we came from all over to vote") out of context

I don't know. The Alabama AG is calling for an investigation so maybe there is something there. I haven't really been paying much attention but I was surprised when Jones won.

Moore hasn't officially filed a complaint.

The SoS is doing this all on his own.

That and you had retarded Democrats on TV saying how they flew in from California and New York to vote for Jones and help him win. Regardless if it's true, when you broadcast that sort of stupidity in that close of a race, questions will be raised and recounts will happen. It would be rather hilarious if a recount concluded with a Moore win.

Unfortunately what is going on is Jones has still won and headed to Washington.

it's a little bit of this

and also:

Moore is just trying to bleed his supporters one last time before he fades into the lime-light for another 2-3 years before he re-emerges like a phoenix from the ashes to go on another failed run to some Alabama office so he can bleed his ever aging supporters of their money once again.

My understanding is the Secretary of State is just doing what is required by law in Alabama after an election decided by a margin smaller than the number of write in votes.

In those counties, there is always voter fraud...its almost entirely a black population....i used to fish a lot down there in that area and trust me, if there was fraud, and i am sure there will be, it will be easy to find

Did they ever say how many military ballots were cast? I can't imagine it would be more than a few thousand.

(3,000 military ballots going 75% Moore, 25% Jones would net Moore like 1500 votes, well short of what he needs).

Widescale, provable fraud would be Moore's only hope. For the folks who live in Alabama, is there any chance of "provable" fraud given what you saw with how your ballot was cast?

Could they like verify actual voters from election day versus rolls and past turnout?

Some ballots "pre-marked" for Jones were found before the
election as well.

And like the Russian collusion investigation, the seriousness of the charges warrants an investigation.

Am I doing it right?

Until the vote is certified, he can't do anything.

I think it's Moore doing his best HRC supporter impersonation.

Matter of time.

My fellow Alabamians will realize their mistake in 2018 if the Dems pick up 2 seats in the Senate.
Even 1 seat may be enough to stop any conservative justice replacing Kennedy on SCOTUS.

He will probably end up being replaced by a moderate at best especially if the dems get 2 seats.

Those turnout numbers seem real fricking high. Like very. Even spite of all the hoopla leading up to it. I thought it'd be much lower with both sides not crazy about their candidates and the middle not giving a frick at all.

Those turnout numbers are INCREDIBLY suspect.

For the POTUS election, it took me about 30 min to get in the door. For this one, I walked right in and took a ballot from the workers.

Also, there were many blacks in 16. Only one this time. That's not a racist statement, just that blacks historically vote 96% Dem. Just simple arithmetic.
