For me it has to be tied with the Troy loss and then when someone asked him what his plan for recruiting was and he answered "hope and pray". I couldn't believe it.

Some other nominations:
Telling the world that we had roster deficiencies that would not allow us to compete within four touchdowns of Mississippi State.
Alienating our quarterback recruits in the offseason with incongruent messages and star-fricking a guy who was never coming here.
Openly declaring that his entire plan was to hire great coordinators, thus incentivizing our conference opponents to make runs at our coordinators every offseason and raise the cost of doing business on us.
Hiring a wide receiver coach that cannot coach wide receivers.
His constant need to recreate at LSU the group of bodies that were around early 2000s USC.

Having the audacity to think that he had the experience, track record, qualifications, and mental capacity to be the Head Coach of our beloved Tigers ... and then convincing Alleva of the same....thereby setting off a chain reaction in which we abandoned the idea of hiring a real, qualified, legitimate Head Coach ... and also, for the foreseeable future ... abandoned the idea of being remotely relevant and/or competing for any sort of Championship or Division title.
We are no longer a National Power ... at this point, we're not even close ... and, so long as this farcical mistake continues ... the further from it we will get.

Not mad. Disappointed. Disgusted. Rapidly indifferent. CEO, JA, FKA have brought to conclusion the trend CLM set in motion after 1/9/12. LSU football has diminished and diminishing relevance in my world. I no longer invest myself in blind devotion to this team or staff, because the present reality of LSU leadership has no respect for LSU fans like myself. Just $$$.

When he expressed interest in the job then I laughed thinking there is no way alleva will hire the worst coach in sec history to be LSU's new head coach. Then my I saw how truly dumb alleva is.
