They had three or four others from Angola get arrested a month or two ago.
It's almost impossible to find anyone who isn't complete trash to work in that environment. The only people going into a career in corrections are people with no other options. Hell, most of them are likely related to or dating criminals.
The turnover at Angola must be insane.

Know a couple former angola guards. Definitely not a surprise. PG13 compared to their stories.

An officer friend once told me that it takes nothing to be a CO at Angola and usually the people who apply for the job are trash. I'd say banging inmates and smuggling in contraband puts you solidly in the "trash" category.
