Uruguay's D is stout and Ronaldo couldn't find very much space. Uruguay was the better organized team.

Just celebrate that Uruguay plays well.
Half the population of sf bay.

Great defense.

I hope cavani heals up.

Yup. Uruguay’s defense simply did everything to eliminate him and make he rest beat them. They failed.

I mean he directly impact their goal

his teammates didn't really give much help to create space vs a well organized 10 men behind the ball

I agree but just tired of Messi getting shite when he had two assist an no help. It’s a team game and you can shut down one player

I'm actually amazed how athletic Uruguay looked. Laxalt looked really good and the pairing of Bentancur and Torreria were superb together. There wasn't an area where Portugal were superior. Uruguay had better CB's, better strikers, and a more athletic midfield.

I’ll definitely be supporting the Uruguayans even though I proposed to me Anichka in Provence last summer. This French national team is not one I can support, sadly

Suarez was too much of a bitch today. Pushed me over the edge. Can’t support.

Ronaldo didn’t have a good game by his standards, but he still looked like the only class on that team.

Messi tried and had some brilliant moments. That team is just broken. It may be 90% his fault, I don’t know, but it’s broken.

Messi was creating scoring chances for his teammates. How many scoring opportunities did Ronaldo create for his teammates against Uruguay? I just saw him walking to the center of the penalty box and launching 40 yard strikes into the backs of defenders the entire game.

Couldn’t he cheer for 4.5/11 of the team?
