Wembley for sale...to the Jaguars

Sport England’s consent is legally required because the organisation contributed £120m of national lottery funds towards the £757m total cost of rebuilding Wembley 20 years ago. The FA contributed more than 75 per cent of the money, almost £600m, and took ownership of Wembley after the decision was taken for it not to be a national stadium incorporating a running track.

Technically, Khan, himself is buying it.
FFC supporters had a fit when this first came out, but there's no move afoot to move FFC there. Heck, they start redevelopment of the Riverside Stand at Craven Cottage at the end of this upcoming season.
This is all football-related and a "revenue stream" for Khan.

they had been trying to screw khan out of it. and begged 2 other buyers. those poors must not of been able to buy it

Yeah he’s sunk a massive amount of personal money into the stadium in Jacksonville, as well as the city itself, with people in town here saying the same thing. Easy narrative gonna easy narrative I guess.
The revenue from the NFL UK series is wildly high and Khan is gonna be able to charge rent to the English FA if they ever wanna play at Wembley. Not to mention the potential to host other big ticket events and serve as a temporary home to any big London club that wants to do massive renovations on their own stadium.

Too many logistical issues for this to happen permanently. The biggest one is they could never host a prime time game because it'd start at like 1am out there

That’s the only way Wembley will see significant games though.
Spurs have a 10 year deal with the NFL for a minimum of 2 games a year at the new stadium.

I just hope he doesn't move a Fulham match or two from the Cottage. It's a special place.
I wish Wembley had any semblance of character. It almost feels wrong to have kept the name on the new stadium.

He’ll get one or two Jags games there and likely another. The NFL has gone between 3-4 London games the last few years. I’m too lazy to look it up but the money made off of one of those games alone is unreal.
Even logisitics aside, moving a team to London full time might be killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. Interest in American football outside of NA is practically non-existent. The allure of the London games lies in the fact that they are special events, not that tons of people in the UK and western Europe are dying to regularly see American football.
