I see Primary Arms has them on sale for $10/mag but I've never used them. Anyone have any experience with them?

I have a couple and they run fine with my two guns.

Never had any hang ups because of the mags.

How are they compared to MECGAR (spelling may be off)?

Does glock call them the trademarked “pmag”?

Nermnd. I was checkin the specs on the rotary girder. Looks like magpul makes them.

I have 10-15(17s/21s) I use as range mags, no issues. Although they tend to not drop as quick.

Try to get in the habit of "ripping" it out on reloads.

why would you want to take a one handed process and turn it into a two handed process? Your strong hand should be dropping the mag, while your off hand grabs a loaded one.

I can think of a few reasons, but the biggest is sometimes the mag sticks. If you're always ripping it, you won't have that oh shite moment when it happens. And if you do it right, you're using almost doing one motion (ripping mag and continuing down to grab the next mag.

Nope - not from my experience.

I bought 6 when they first came out. Springs are weak, and followers have some kind of flaw. They work fine "most of the time" -- like about this much -- LINK

I used to take 5 with me to the range (along with 17 factory mags). I tried replacing the springs with Glock factory springs and with Wolff extra strength springs. Nothing worked consistently.

The only benefit I found with the PMAGS was to practice malfunction drills -- which isn't a bad thing.

They are definitely not something I would carry.
