So, I am attempting to operate in good faith here and would appreciate some genuine responses.

To deconstruct a little, to get anywhere meaningful I think we have to accept three things.

1. The article is not completely made up by the NYT. The article was as they say written by a member of the Trump Admin.

2. The article was written by someone relatively high ranking. Basically, this includes anyone with direct access to the president or who is a peer with multiple officials with direct access. This seems to be necessarily true if you accept point 1. Unless the NYT is adding fraudulent information the author seems to have a high level of standing within the Admin.

3. Whoever wrote the article isn't outright lying. They disclose that they support much of the President's economic agenda and that they are happy with a lot of what he has achieved. If this is the case one wonders why they would take the risk of lying about all of the other accusations to the press.

To disclose my biases I am not a Trump voter or supporter. But I am not a total fan of the article either and have genuine concerns that there are these sort of factions and subversions of democratic will at the top levels of the federal government.

But my question is simple. If the above 3 points are true, are you not gravely concerned with the stability and fitness of this president.

No one is asking for President Hillary. A removal of Trump would mean President Pence.

*Sorry, had to edit because I accidentally submitted before I was done.

I think David Dennison is the source for this article

Anyone with access who was genuinely concerned about the leader of the strongest military in the world being unstable would not hide behind anonymity, and would come forth with credible evidence to his concerns.

Why would anyone believe thiS? If the allegations were credible they could have been sourced into a news piece. An anonymous op ed? What in the frick is that ?

I don't know if it's true or not and I don't really care all that much but why do we have to accept any of these three things?

Your three points are not true.

Pretty simple, really.

I'm not a blind Trump supporter.

But I don't put much stock in an anonymous letter supposedly written by a high ranking official that would basically implicate themselves in high treason.

What would that person have to gain?

Interesting I am obviously unfamiliar with their poliies and hadn't seen that. But if the premises are true, how do you feel?

Engaging in hypotheticals crafted by the unhinged left isn't a game anyone wants to play.

Not a Trump supporter but I’m not accepting anything face value from the NYT without seeing some proof.

If Trump is so dangerous how about this little resistance group holds a press conference and lays their cards out for us?

Even if your premises are true, it leaves the possibility that the author is the crazy one which seems more likely than the things claimed.

I don't think the premises are untrue, perhaps they are exagerrated a bit idk.

Frankly, if the conservative policy coming from the WH is being put forth by rogue staffers rather than the prez himself, i don't care. As long as the policies are conservative I am ok with them.
