Only minor flags are thrown against Bama to give the refs plausible deniability.
Bama doesn’t get personal fouls calls unless it’s entirely egregious. That spear was not egregious enough to get called.

This is before targeting, but that is a penalty even then. Not against Bama with bug eye Ritter on the call though.

Probably the most egregious non call was the targeting hit from Mack Wilson on the TAMU kick off returner this year.
He launched into the dude, clear helmet to helmet and it didn't draw a flag. Even Gary was like WTF I thought that was targeting?
