Used to be one of my favorite shows to watch. Seasons 3-9 are just perfect. I stopped watching during season 13 because the writing had gotten so terrible.
Anyways, I tried to watch the new "Trump Guy" episode the other night, and just couldnt get through it. Unoriginal and unrecogniazble from its early form. The show has always poked fun at politics and usually at the expense of the right, but I never considered it unwatchable.
And so, another one bites the dust.

True but it wasnt overly obnoxious and they'd make fun of a lefty thing or two as well. They wouldn't hold back when making fun of pop stars either.

I have no issue with them making fun of Trump, but the show took a turn when they went for shock value as opposed to clever humor.
I feel like every episode these days, Peter gets his head blown off or Brian is turned inside out.

I really just see it as creative bankruptcy when people do it now. I'm no Trump supporter, but I kinda roll my eyes when someone has to incorporate it into their show.
Like cool, we get it, you don't like him. But everyone else has already done this to death. It's not unique or funny at this point.

Honestly, it feels like they didn't try with the Trump episode. And I probably hate Trump more than McFarlane.
Family Guy is hard to watch now. I've mostly enjoyed the Trump stuff that South Park has done, though.

I don't care about Trump, but when they announced that they were going to be "phasing out" the gay jokes, I knew it was going to die soon. I'm so sick of the gay reverence cult. Pedo grandpa, babies getting pumped up the arse and Quagmire being a straight-up rapist are okay, but the holy fricking gays are off limits.
