Heard my child’s heartbeat for the first time today

Wife is nearing the end of her first trimester with our first kid and her mother had fertility issues. Had an appointment this morning and the doc put the Doppler on my wife’s belly. Wasn’t expecting the tears of joy from myself after confirming there was a heart beat. Truly a special experience

Congratulations! Hope and pray for a healthy baby and wife throughout and after. My little brother and his wife just lost their first baby at 19 weeks and it's been just terrible. A healthy baby is seen as so normal by so many but in reality it really is a true miracle.
