Charles Schwab's $26 billion deal to acquire TD Ameritrade will result in the relocation of its San Francisco-based headquarters to Dallas-Fort Worth, reported The Wall Street Journal. Schwab gave no timeframe on the transition to Westlake, a suburb of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. The region is considered one of the fastest-growing financial hubs in the country at the moment. The merger is expected to be completed in 2H20 and could take 12 to 36 months to integrate both firms completely. Schwab's new Dallas-Fort Worth campus will cost around $100 million, covers 70 acres with 500,000 square feet of office space.

Blue move? Maybe if you’re saying businesses choosing to not remain in a blue state.

Voting data shows the transplants appear to be leaving the voting blue behind and are voting red.

Are far left liberal arts majors working in finance for Charles Schwab? Honest question. I don’t have any statistics by I would assume these folks aren’t as far left as you’re imagining.

Going to eventually ruin Texas like they did Cali

Austin is a prime example, instituting same homeless policies as SF

The Lone Star State imposes a 0.75% franchise tax on business margins (total revenue minus compensation), which is substantially less than the corporate tax rates in California (8.84%) and Nebraska (7.81%), where TD Ameritrade is currently headquartered. The city of San Francisco also imposes a 0.38% payroll tax and a 0.6% gross receipts tax on financial service companies.

Should help with the ol' apportionment percentage.

I’d love to have been in the building when that was announced.

“Everyone! Everyone! Take a seat. I gotta announcement. We going to Big D. You in or out? Separation letters on the left. Packets labeled with ‘Frick SF’s sheet, both literally and figuratively,’ are your official Texas welcome packets with realtor’s names on the right. Thank you and have a nice day.”

one of the reasons for the increased media visibility of SJWs over the past 20 yrs is the rise to power of Silicon Valley, controlled by Northern Californians, the same kind of people that work at Schwab

One of the most important political shifts of the past 50 years is the rise of SJW in corporate culture

As a Schwabbie in a different location,

They had reductions in workforce in September-October.

There's more who are still with her and despise our hero than you'd think. They relocated from California & bring their politics with them.

The Dallas office is going to be sweet.
