The longer we wait the harder it will be to get employment back.

It seems pretty easy right now to say “get people back to work,” or “open everything back up.” But there has to be an ever increasing number of jobs that won’t be so easy to just “get back to” the longer we wait to open the economy back up.

The longer this BS goes, the more businesses are going to go belly up.

Nobody is going to have the balls to foreclose on this environment.

And people who won’t make it back.
Lot of people won’t go from free money and Netflix back to 9 to 5 as easy as everyone hopes.
There’s some real damage being done mental health/work ethic-wise by everyone sitting home.

Exactly. It aint a video game, you can't just hit pause and come back when you're ready and everything stay the same.

This has been my biggest worry since day one. All these Karen’s and Dems just think we can flip a switch at will and just go back to work when the virus is gone.

This goes until herd immunity.
Through
A) Vaccine a year off
Or
B) healthy ppl get infected. About 60% of population.
Isolate vulnerable. Build immunity.

Oh yes they will. Some banks are already working on it.

I don't think anyone really knows at this point.

Got to open up May 1.
Have to at least get the ball rolling. We are rotting away as an economy right now.

There’s gonna have to be a middle ground that involves herd immunity if we are to survive this with our livelihoods in tact, because we sure as hell won’t survive by staying shut down until a vaccine rolls around.

Better than the people I used to work for. They couldn't see past lunch

This is where I'm at. I have real concerns for my mom (she'84 and has hypertension) and all my siblings and I are in our 50s or 60s and have hypertension as well, there seems to be gentics involved (my mom and my older brother have had it for quite some time, neither has ever had weight issues).
But people need to get back to life. My brother is retired and I'm an essential so we're not as vulnerable economically but my sister works for a small town fire department. The small town she is in may have issues keeping the department if they can't get their normal tax revenue. A lot of other people are are in even more tenuous situations.

Huge, educated job force, with experience. No jobs. This is going to be very bad for a very long time.
