Is there a way to allow mail in voting, but only for those people who get a voter ID? Seems like that would make both sides happy.

How will the poll workers be able to verify all of the signatures and the votes be tallied in a timely matter ?

It would take months to verify and count all of the ballots if an all mail in election happened.

Absentee ballots are verified before being counted .

Why don't people know this ?

You're kidding, right?

The Dems are challenging Voter ID everywhere they can, even though the IDs are FREE.

Somehow, going to get a DL is not a hindrance at all, but adding the extra bit about also getting a Voter ID at the same time makes it tantamount to a poll tax.

Dems want the ability to cheat - plain and simple.

We can already vote by mail.

But vote by mail means different things in different states.

The legislation Pelosi wants to pass is being sold as "vote by mail" from a federal level that will supersede state laws but the problem is "vote by mail" is going to mean more than just "vote by mail". We are going to have the wait and see what's in the bill after it's passed.

The only way I would even think about mail in ballots is if the ballot was signed by a witness and notarized by a notary public....even then I still probably wouldn't vote for it.

This is how you put up obstacles to the bill. The GOP needs to force notarization language in the bill. Pelosi will drop it real quick. The last thing Pelosi wants is verification for one vote per one eligible person.

Republican Utah plus Oregon and Washington have used mail in voting for a few elections. It seems to work well in those three states.

And how would one get that? By mail. Same issue of multiple people at one address, addresses which are vacant plots of land, etc.

Democrats would rather eat a bowl of literal dog shite, before they allow voter id.

Democrats want just free and clear mail-in votes. Votes that can't easily be checked. And if a gov agency tries to look into the legitimacy of the votes, Fed judges will hastily rush in to stop that agency.

In a situation that can't be guarded..

Wouldn't surprise me if Broward county mysteriously has a few million more voters...who coincidentally all vote Democrat.

Wouldn't surprise me if shite like that happens in every state that trump won last time.

Any form of vote by mail allows voter intimidation.

For example: If you are in a union, you can pick up a vote-by-mail form from the union boss. You are "encouraged" to fill it out in front of the union boss. If you don't support the union selected candidate there will be unofficial consequences.

Vote by mail is an attack on Democracy.

In GA, Dems are threatening to sue because the SecState's office requires voters to put a stamp on the absentee ballot request form.

A frickING STAMP.

"Community leaders" are saying that equates to a poll tax. You can't make this shite up.

If you can't afford $0.54 or whatever a stamp is, and you can't be bothered to vote in person, then I question your resolve to ensure that your vote is cast.

They won't.

Yes. They don't care. Once the votes are tallied, thats it. It wouldn't matter if the was absolute evidence of fraud, the tally would stand.
They know this.
They don't care.
By any means necessary.

If getting a simple ID is like Jim Crow laws to them, how do you think they would respond to having to get a document notarized? Thats practically lynching someone!!

You don't think that they would actually have a hard time getting TDS Notaries to rubber stamp votes.

Voter suppressionist!

Without a registration number anyone, citizen or not, can vote in all 50 states and then the territories too.

Why you want to limit voters to only 1 vote per person? Dats voter suppression! Racist!
