When did you first have Internet on your computer at home? My family were kind of late bloomers, we didn’t get Internet until 2000.

1999 I think. I was 9 at the time and I can still remember waiting 45 minutes to see a single nipple in Netscape. Then my mom (no pics) had to use the phone so I had to log off

ETA: When we got DSL I thought I was hot shite because I could leave up an AIM away message long enough to go idle. I always envied those kids when we only had dial up and I had to log off when I was done.

I’m an OT poor. Didn’t have broadband til I’d been married for 10 or 11 years, sometime around 2004.

I used to dial in to specific sites/boards back around '93 and '94.

I dont think I actually paid for internet until around '98 or '99. AOL

There was internet at school (high school and UGA) so there wasn't much need for home dial up until I was a junior in college trying to avoid the school labs.
