what driver and three wood are you hitting?

I had a 3 wood that I had similar results from. I ultimately figured out my driver was spinning so much that I was carrying it as far as my 3 wood and getting none of the roll out.
This was a Taylormade aeroburner TP. It was a rocket. Sadly I cracked it.

Could be a few things. Loft on driver may not be optimal. Probably too low. Swing speed on driver may be too low to take advantage of the lower loft than 3 wood. Impact may be poorer on driver due to longer length shaft.
You may be a good candidate for a Thriver. Short driver with higher than normal loft.

I dont think you're doing anything wrong necessarily. Could just have a bad fitting on your driver. Too much spin coming off the face, launch and descent angles could be too high. I would go in to a place like Golftec and get the numbers then you would know for sure. It might be as simple as getting a different loft or shaft for your driver.

Go buy the driver version of your 3w with the same shaft. See if you hit it further.

I played a Callaway 2 wood off the tee for years.
It was 13 degrees with a Titanium shaft and I could crush it and find the fairway.
Getting on a launch monitor will answer some of the questions for sure.
10.5 is still a very popular loft on tour today.

Maybe your ball position is a little back for the optimal driver launch. Maybe you are still a bit negative on launch angle for driver. Move ball to left big toe if right handed.
A 3 wood is a little shorter shaft, maybe you square the face better.
