41-26 rebounding advantage for the Pels after 3 quarters. This small ball league isn’t ready for Zion and Adams.

Ingram with 3 steals so far. Looking active and engaged on defense.

ingram has the talent and the IQ to be a menace on defense.
Look at his arms, if he’s able to roam passing lanes (because the D behind him is tight), look out

I disagree. A bench of Hart, JJ, NAW, Hayes, Melli and Lewis is going to be fine. Stan's rotations and mixing guys in is going to be way better than uncle Al's.

Bench is fine except at backup center. That might be rough. But we have Hernangomez for defense and rebounding when we really need it. Hayes still looks to be a ways off currently.

Our bench will depend on how much NAW, Hayes, and Lewis are able to contribute. Hayes looked much better on defense tonight and wasn't fouling like crazy, which is a huge improvement. He still needs to learn how to fight for space when shots go up, but I have hope. That said, it's the preseason, so there aren't enough grains of salt to go around. Hopefully SVG's defense doesn't result in wild rotations leaving guys completely out of position. That's where a lot of Hayes' fouls started.

Finally, you're right about rotations. I will not miss Uncle Al's hockey-esque line changes.

Amazing what can happen when you aren’t simply blinded by pace/threes and aren’t routinely throwing out 4 guard lineups with a poor rebounding big and asking everyone but two guys to get out on the break the moment the other teams shot goes up, then pouting up and down the court that our guys aren’t “executing”

JJ, NAW, Hart, and Melli should be able to hold their own off the bench.

Yeah, I was looking for an area of improvement for Hayes, and that's definitely it. Getting rid of the dumb fouls is important for him, and tonight was a very good sign in that regard.

It was always going to come down to health/our young guys...And I’d argue our young guys looked a lot, lot better than I expected out the gate in a new system in a ridiculously shortened off-season.

Somehow, that’s actually a slight under reaction.

NAW's shooting was a big part in the run we made in the 2nd quarter to open up the lead. He looked really good shooting, and 4-8 from three is something we'll take every single day.

NAW is infinitely better as a spot up shooter. Much more consistency when his feet are set which should be much more often in SVG sets.

His future is definitely more as a shooter and not a primary ball handler.

You can put him and JJ out there with Ingram handling the ball and create havoc.

That’s definitely a line up I’d like to see us play with. Ingram has mentioned the importance of growing as a facilitator and was working on it, and Griffin/SVG have both signaled favorably to it.

He was very good when it happened last year and even in LA it was his strongest role.

Another thing that I loved about this game was BI hitting a 3 off the dribble after going around a screen, because he almost never did that last year. Almost all of BI's 3s last year were catch-and-shoot. If he has added that to his game, then look out.
