This is the 100th anniversary of the famine in Russia in 1921. I had no idea this ever happened or that the US played a role in it.

"In August 1922, a full five months after the initial shipments of corn were sent to Russia, American Relief Administration officials were still feeding almost 11 million Soviet citizens each day in 19,000 kitchens."

How Hoover helped Russia during 1921 famine.

So not much has changed in geopolitical power structures in the past 100 years?

Color me shocked.

Now we just do annual foreign aid on condition a percentage comes back to ActBlue and PAC donations. Who will provide US relief once we've been globalozed?

Interesting and did not know it was corn. 11 million a day, goodness.

I think Hoover sorely regretted his role in propping up the Soviets.

Hoover wrote the introduction to General Wrangel's memoirs, when they were translated into English.

The masters of international capital that control the West ALWAYS made sure we were there to bail out the Bolshevists and NEVER come to the aid of their enemies save a few quagmire the bankers made trillions of dollars on that were no threat to the Bolshevist powers.

This.

The trajectory of 20th Century US history indicates, IMHO, that the USA was destined to end up as a Leftist Totalitarian Dictatorship, which, IMHO it will be by the turn of this century.

In the hopes of living to see that day, I no longer eat Oreos and Ice Cream.

No worries... Stalin starved all those people or sent them to Siberia twenty years later. Communists love them some mass murder.

Don't worry, I feel fairly certain that somewhere down the road, the USA will have to dabble in some mass murder of political domestic enemies in order to keep itself propped up. There is no other way for Leftist Internationalist Socialist Regimes to maintain political power, once the People get tired of being poor and abused.

I don't expect it to happen until sometime in the 22nd Century, however, not this century.

I often think that the USA will go down in history as one of the most oppressive and evil Leftist Totalitarian Regimes ever on Earth - but that's about 150 years from now, though.

I believe the Cold War was a ruse to usher in our own form of collectivism. During the Cold War, we embraced fiat currency, soared the national debt, implemented a hyperinterventionist foreign policy and created the CIA and the NSA. In order to "defeat" the Soviets we became just like them.

^ Not to mention we have China against us today as if the Cold War is still ongoing.

Not a good president but he was an awesome American. Good example why here.

To the point that it’s shocking.

Vaclav Havels condemnation of the USSR reads like a condemnation of the US circa 2020.

The country we were born in is dead.

Large US military convoy enters northeast Syria after Damascus demands immediate withdrawal

quote:
A large U.S. military convoy was seen entering northeastern Syria on Thursday, marking the first time since Damascus issued its letter to the United Nations Security Council demanding the immediate withdrawal of American forces from the Arab Republic.

According to a field report from northeastern Syria on Thursday, the U.S. military convoy entered the Al-Hasakah Governorate from neighboring Iraq, as they were observed entering the Arab Republic via the Al-Waleed Crossing.

The report said the U.S. military convoy consisted of a large amount of weapons and logistical equipment, which were transferred to their bases inside the Al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor Governorates east of the Euphrates River.

They would add that the U.S. military convoy consisted of over 40 trucks and armored vehicles that were escorted by helicopters until they reached their destinations.

The US architect of Bretton Woods was a spy for the USSR.

One day you’ll realize that it’s the U.S. that has been spreading globalization.
