Headed to Sedona soon. Interested in pink Jeep tour. There are several different ones to choose from. Any suggestions?

My family went to Sedona about 20 years ago. We did the Hummer tour (no pun). That was recommended because the could get to more off road places than a Jeep.
Do not remember the name of the service.

We did the Broken Arrow one. It takes you to some cool places, but just a head's up that you can hike to just about all the places it takes you, so it's kind of a ripoff. They do do some rock crawling, but nothing all that extreme.

Much better experience than any of the jeep tours IMO.

If you’re interested in driving yourself, look up Barlowes.

I sat in the very back.

Couple of those hills my legs were just dangling. I'm sure there is more extreme but it was fun.

Find an off-roading tour instead.

I would look for something different. Had a rental Expedition and started driving it up Scnelby Hill Road or something. Passed a bunch of pink jeeps with pissed off customers realizing they paid a bunch of money to go somewhere a redneck went for free in a rental.

Where are these free rentals you speak of?

There are lots of places to hike around Sedona and you can drive to the trailheads in your car. Do it yourself. The Pink jeep thing is so...tourist.

schnebly hill road to the vista or lookout is no joke. above that and on to 17 is a little easier of a drive, but i wouldn't take a rental without high clearance up that road.*

*unless you're a redneck of course.

I had a jeep rental and my wife and I took Schnebly from the North down into Sedona. It was scary as frick and I don’t intend on doing that again . That said, it was an amazing experience. Road isn’t even wide enough for 2 vehicles and the holes you have to drive through feel like they’re over a foot deep at times. You’re just steadily rocking all over the place and the drop off down the side of the mountain is unreal.

Our tour guide said they rescue people in rental Jeeps at least once a week on those trails. I think part of that was discouraging people from trying to do it, and thus funneling more business to them, but we did see someone struggling to get through a tricky part of the trail. He declined assistance from our driver.

That doesn’t surprise me to hear that. When we got closer to Sedona we saw people in cars trying to go up the road. I guess people don’t do the proper research before going up. We flagged one guy down and told him to just back up because he would regret it later.
